The selection of single screw pump specification is based on the nature of the liquid to be delivered, flow, pressure to determine, and the speed of the pump is determined by the viscosity and corrosivity of the liquid as the main parameters to ensure the reliable operation of the pump.

The design speed of single screw pump is the maximum allowable speed when conveying clean water or similar non corrosive liquid. Due to different medium properties and life requirements, the selection of single screw pump should generally be lower than the design speed. For the medium with high viscosity and containing particles, 1 / 2-1 / 3 of the design speed or lower is generally adopted. Low speed is beneficial to the wear of the pump. However, due to the wear and loss of the stator after use, the rotating speed can be appropriately increased to compensate for the decrease of flow rate. The temperature of conveying medium should be between - 10 ℃ and 80 ℃, and can be as high as 120 ℃ in special cases.

The normal pressure of each stage (one lead of the stator) of the pump is 0.6MPa, and it is allowed to be as high as 0.8MPa in a short time (no more than 30 minutes), and the volumetric efficiency will gradually decrease under the same output pressure after wear.

When pumping clean water, the maximum suction head is 8 meters, and it is recommended not to exceed 6.5 meters in actual use. When pumping high viscosity medium, it should be inhaled under positive pressure.
